Bulgaria Visit Visa - With Special Invitation

The list of documents required in case of Official Visit to Bulgaria:

1 - Passport. Valid for at least one year.

2 - Biometric photograph - taken in the last 3 months, 2 pieces, with 35 x 45 mm diemension.

3 – The follow-up document for Visa Processing. Must be fully completed. Signed by the applicant. 

4 – Visa demanding letter prepared by the company where you are working, which includes travel purpose.

5 – The official invitation letter prepared on your name sent by Bulgarian Official Institution

 6 – If not expessed within the official invitation letter, there should be an hotel reservation documents too.

7 – The person who will apply for Bulgaria Official Visit Visa:

• If he/she is a student, there should be min. 4.000 TL in his/her bank account.
• If he/she is employee there must be payroll for the last three months. Must be signed, stamped.

8 - If the applicant’s age is below 18:

Even If he/she travel with the parents, he/she must be given an Affidavit, signed by both, which indicates the approval of the parents for travel to Bulgaria.

9- Population Registration Sample. It's taken from the Population Directorate. Stubborn, signed, new dated.

Bulgaria Visit Visa for Children, below age of 14

Those children under 14 years, whose parents are Citizens of Bulgaria can apply to the Bulgaria visit visa without an invitation letter or hotel reservation.  

Required documents for Bulgaria Visit Visa For Children

1 – The copy of Bulgarian passport of parents.

2 - Photocopy of parents' Bulgarian identity card (лична карт)

3 – The name equivalence document of mother and father.

4- The copy of the Bank Account of mother or father, which includes min. 3.000 TL

5 - Passport belongs to Turkish citizen child (Must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of return to Turkey)

6 - 2 biometric photographs (White background, 3.5 * 4,5 dimensions)

7 - Population registration sample (taken from the Population Directorate and showing your family register)

8 - Visa follow-up document (It is sufficient if you fill out the form to download)

9 – Affidavit (made by the parents in the notary, "my child to go abroad, get a visa" phrases must be included)

Children Bulgarian Visa processing period: 5 business days.

Bulgaria Visit Visa – For People Whose Spouse is Bulgarian Citizen

Bulgaria grants one year multiple visa to those who are married to a Bulgarian citizen.

Before applying for such a visa, your marriage must be approved by relevant Bulgarian authority and you must get your marriage certificate from Bulgaria. If you send the documents we will proceed the visa application process.

1. Bulgarian marriage certificate (ГРАЖДАНСКИ БРАК)

2. A copy of the passport and Lichna Card of the spouse who is Bulgarian citizen

3. Copy of Population Registration Certificate

4. Passport, valid for two years

5. 2 Biometric photos (white background, 3.5x4.5 mm size)

6. Breakdown of bank account (with a minimum balance of TL 4,000)

7. Visa follow-up document (It is enough if you fill out the form to download)

- Visa processing period: 5 working days.

There is no obligation to come to the Consulate personally. You can send your documents by courier. 1-year / 90-day stay visa is granted. This means that you can stay for 90 days every 6 months with multiple visa.

Important notes

- Visa processing period: 5 working days.

-You have to have marriage certificate to apply for Bulgaria C Visa.

- In the first applications for C visa, generally, 6 months is granted. But in principle 1 year is granted.

Frequently Asked Questions about Bulgaria visit visa procesedure

Question: Since 2006, I am married to a Bulgarian citizen in Turkey, can I benefit from spouse's visa?

Answer: You can apply for C type visa If your spouse has Bulgarian citizenship. It will be enough for you to send your documents to us by cargo or courier.

Question: My wife does not have a Bulgarian passport, but she only has an identity card. Is it accepted during our application?

Answer: They might accept that. But final decision beongs to the Consulate.

Question: Can I travel to European countries via visa taken through marriage with Bulgarian citizen?

Answer: You can not travel to European countries with a C type visa. For this, you need to obtain a residence (Type D) visa.

Question: What is needed to get marriage certificate from Bulgaria?

Question: My son 13 years old. Can he go to Bulgaria alone?

Answer: Yes, your child can go to Bulgaria alone, but he has to have letter of parental consent with him during border crossing.

Question: Can we apply for Bulgaria visit visa without name equivalence?

Answer: You can apply with photocopy. This document is absolutely required from the consulate.

Question: I will take my 8-year-old child to Bulgaria to make him Bulgarian citizen. Should I get long term visa?

Answer: Those whose parents are the citizens of Bulgaria can get visa up to 6 months. But this period might be longer or shorter. The period is decided by the Consulate.
