Bulgaria tourist visa is a Bulgarian visa application for people who will travel to Bulgaria with a touristic purpose.

What are the required documents for a Bulgaria Tourist Visa Application?

One of the most important required documents for Bulgaria tourist visa is the confirmation of hotel reservations in Bulgaria. In the confirmation document there must be information about the number of days you will stay, hotel fee, reservation number, hotel telephone, fax, e-mail and the name and surname of the person making this reservation.

The accuracy of this information will be checked during the passage through Bulgaria border gate.

Another required document for Bulgaria tourist visa is travel health insurance which is internationally valid.

Travel health insurance, which is required to be included in the tourist visa application documents for Bulgaria, must worth at least 30,000 euros internationally guaranteed value and covering the period of the travel. Travel health insurance must be presented as original document.

Important Notes for Bulgaria Tourist visa?

• Bulgaria tourist visa is not a Schengen visa. You cannot travel to Schengen region countries with a Bulgaria tourist visa. However, attention should be paid even if entry into Bulgaria is possible with the valid Schengen visa. Many people get Schengen visa to go to Bulgaria and via Bulgaria try to go to other countries. But this is not possible and negatively affects your future Schengen visa applications. For these reasons it is not true to travel to Bulgaria with the Schengen visa.
   
• Bulgaria, Romania and Croatia have not yet been admitted to the Schengen region, despite the membership of the European Union (EU). You cannot pass to the Schengen Region with the Bulgarian Tourist Visa. With Bulgaria multiple visa, you can travel to Romania, Croatia and Montenegro.
   

• Before starting to travel please make hotel reservation. Make your health insurance which cover the period of your stay. After arriving to Bulgaria please your name registered at Security Directorate. Make sure that your visa validity period is not expired.
